❧ 005 ❧ Video

[The recording starts off with a shot of the Keep's sky. There's a sound of someone moving about in water as the angle starts to shift down to Sandrath's face, who was dripping wet. He grins a bit before exhaling some air to move some stray bangs out of his face.]

What I find interesting is the hospitality of this place. Practically everything here is free and I find that kind of strange. Normally, most things have a price on them. So, the guy in charge must be sorry for royally messing up or decided on making us pay by taking care of whatever crazy shenanigans that show up. For example, what happened at the Halloween party.

[He takes a moment to slick back his hair with a free hand.]

...Anyway, I don't have to state about the dead bird situation since it's been already told a few times before. You're welcome for not having to pull any out of the hot springs. For now.

Perhaps. With no way of either confirming or denying theories with any certainty, I wouldn't want to assume speculation could hit close to the mark. Especially with no ability to observe the one responsible.

[There was? Do tell.]

Indulge my curiosity if you would, however... I assume you've been here a while? Why be so suspicious of the fact that you do not have to pay for anything? I would assume that by now, if a price was forthcoming that had nothing to do with us merely... occupying space, you'd know of it by now.

[Jetfire had, honestly, not thought about it. But then... he didn't need much either. Being a giant robot and all.]

It does?

[Not that using a more cautious reasoning was all that... special or rare. And Jetfire's mostly not using video because he feels like having a conversation, not having to go through the reaction of "not human".]

Ah, I see. Usually, things does. At least in a normally functioning society I would assume. Metaphorically? Care to elaborate?

[Was it just about connections, emotional prices paid, or something else?]

[There's a faint sigh; why is this familiar? Oh yes, Starscream tend to use this method sometimes. Jetfire just shakes his helm and accepts it. Unless he switches to video, he's not going to be able to stare at the man.]

Very probable; I have no knowledge of your world in particular, and lack quite a bit of context when it comes to human society and culture in general... Would you be willing to explain?

[Come on, now; this just makes Jetfire curious.]

[As long as it's a good... or at least neutral reminder?]

Of course, humans can only handle a comparatively short exposure and at a much lower temperature of heat before it becomes detrimental to your body's functions... I apologize for having, er, detained you.
